Just about to leave Germany to finish my second trip to with my Medi-Fridge. I was put on Byetta approximately 4 weeks ago, and I have been having good success on this treatment plan (down 26 pounds), so figuring out how to keep the medicine from getting too hot on a trans-atlantic flight was a necessity (keeping medications at less than 77 degree is sometimes difficult). Medi-Fridge has worked perfectly in the car and hotel stateside, as well as car, hotel and airplane overseas (with the worldwide power adapter and appropriate country adapter).
I did get some funny looks at the airport with the Medi-Fridge, a lot of questions as to what the device is, but the device is 100% ok with the TSA so far (haven't been through the German TSA yet). Since we aren't allowed to carry fluids above 3oz on airplane anymore, it's simply a pain to get ice and remember to get ice when you really need to be sleeping.

I love my Medi-Fridge. It is so compact and easy to travel with. I don't have to rely on others to supply my need for refrigeration of my insulin supplies. Because it is my own unit, I do not have to worry about cleanliness of "mini refrigerators" offered by many lodging establishments. I would recommend the Medi-Fridge to anyone needing the convenience of anywhere refrigeration.

I was leery of this product, was not sure that it would get cold enough for my insulin. Boy was I wrong; this is the best product I have found to travel with. I just love the machine. If I had to tell other people about this item, you better believe it would be an outstanding feedback, because the product is that good.

I purchased a Medi-Fridge Micro-Refrigerator and Micro-Cooler in 2006. I am a Type II diabetic and my job requires extensive travel. While I do not use insulin, I do use Byetta, a liquid medication that, like insulin, comes in an injector pen and requires refrigeration. The Medi-Fridge Micro-Refrigerator and Micro-Cooler products have proved to be well worth the financial investment. These two products make traveling with my diabetes medication absolutely no problem. I highly recommend both of these products to all diabetics and especially to those diabetics who travel extensively.
